Individual companionship
My role is to go to a senior’s home either in their own house or within one of the many senior residential homes in the area and provide company and companionship. Although I offer no medical services it is an ideal way for me to notice any changes in the loved one and report back to family or friends any concerns that may arise. If you are thinking that it might be necessary in the near future to locate a residential home for someone my services can be especially welcome in the transition period.
Transportation Service
Independence is a vital part of many peoples lives it gives the person pride and freedom. A senior is very often very capable of and enjoys doing their own shopping, they know their favorite store, they know who does their hair just right, they have friends they like to visits, and doctors they trust. Getting there is harder they might find modern traffic to disconcerting or just don’t want to drive and getting family or friends to drive them is not really their independence. My role is to provide a safe and timely transportation service. I use a luxury car, but not a limousine to get the person where they need to go on time and in comfort. I also offer scenic drives that involve taking someone’s friends along to enjoy the fun.
Group entertainment
This is a service I provide for senior homes or community centers working with the activities or entertainment personnel in the organization. It is a program that is set out but leaves room for interaction and laughter. It involves and uses music, poetry, famous quotes a little bit of trivia to stimulate memories and happy times. I work with as few as 3 or 4 seniors or as many as will fit in the room provided.
This is especially important in residential homes because it’s a great way to get together and build friendships within the community.
